This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on Pack With Me's apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android and on the Pack With Me website.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we store your email and hashed password (or your Apple or Google identifier if you sign in with Apple or Google). We also store the data required to maintain functionality in the Pack With Me app, including your packing lists, trips, and shared trip information.
We do not collect Personal Identifying Information (PII) beyond what is necessary for your account and for the app to function.
Information we use
We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as how many packing lists are created on average by a user.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms, or as otherwise required by law; or in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of our business, in which case user information may be among the assets transferred.
Information we send
We use the following third-party services:
- Sentry is used for crash reporting and basic anonymized analytics. We never send any personal customer information (email, etc.); we only track basic events to help us identify and fix issues.
- Amplitude is used for basic anonymized analytics to understand how features are used. This data is used internally and is not shared with third parties.
- Apple may automatically receive consumption data when refund requests are made through the App Store.
- Google may automatically receive consumption data when refund requests are made through Google Play.
Security
Passwords are hashed, not stored, using industry-standard methods. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Retrieving or deleting data
You may access or modify your information from within the Pack With Me app.
You may delete your account and all associated data by using the "Delete Account" option in the app's settings, or by contacting us at support@packwithmeapp.com.
You may opt out of analytics tracking from the settings within the app or by emailing support@packwithmeapp.com.
COPPA compliance
We never knowingly collect or maintain information from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our app is designed to attract anyone under 13.
